
As your Personal Chef, I offer an in-home consultation during which I will ask you to fill out a food questionnaire, enabling me to establish your particular service needs. Using this as a guide, I develop a menu that is personally prepared for you by identifying any special diet requirements, food preferences, portion sizes and/or quantities of meals. Usually a service is for a one- or two-week period, but I am happy to customize for your own particular situation.
This pre-planned menu is then sent to you for your final approval, at which time we will determine a cooking day that works for you. On the day of your service, I will first shop for the freshest ingredients and then come to your home armed with groceries and my own cooking equipment to prepare your meals. In 5-6 hours, I will cook one or two week’s worth of meals for you and will make certain your kitchen is spotless before leaving.
Imagine the pleasure you will experience upon coming home to a refrigerator and freezer filled with custom-prepared meals waiting to be enjoyed. At your fingertips, you will find a complete list of the individually labeled meals, along with detailed final preparation instructions. The typical scenario for a week’s worth of meals is that I leave one meal fresh to be enjoyed that evening, one meal refrigerated and three meals cooled and then frozen. (One week’s worth of meals would be five dinners, since most clients prefer to either dine out or make alternate plans some days of the week.) I generally consider a meal to be a main course and a side dish which could be a soup, an appetizer, a vegetable or a salad. However, together we can work out some menus that are compatible with your lifestyle.
