Meet Susie

Susie While growing up in Los Angeles, I began my lifelong passion for cooking with my mother’s guidance, and I have continued to educate myself both formally and informally in the art of preparing healthy, simple, creative and eye-appealing food. I have worked in the service industry as an International Flight Attendant for over 35 years, giving me a high sensitivity to the impact that a truly service-oriented individual can have on the customers she serves.

I have sampled food in foreign countries around the globe and had the good fortune to live several years in Paris, the culinary capital of the world. One of my most enjoyable and informative accomplishments was the completion of the Paris Cooking Class offered by Patricia Wells, noted cookbook author and restaurant critic for the International Herald Tribune.

After completing the Culinary Business Academy’s training, I decided to combine my view towards service with my knowledge of food by starting At Susie’s Table, a Personal Chef service. By keeping my recipes simple, fresh and seasonal, I strive for a finished product that is more than the sum of its parts, dishes in which the paired ingredients speak for themselves. Above all, I want to present my clients with a relaxed style of cooking and a keen sense of service.
